LNG
Liquefying natural gas and delivering it to customers across Asia.
Overview
Tanjung Api, our two-train liquefaction plant, turns gas from our offshore hubs into LNG for utilities and buyers across Asia. It delivered 58 cargoes in FY2025.
Tanjung Api has a nameplate capacity of 4.2 million tonnes a year across two trains. In FY2025 the plant delivered 58 cargoes, or 4.1 million tonnes, with a reliability of 97 percent.
Most volumes are sold under long-term contracts with utilities in North Asia. The balance is placed on the spot and short-term market by our trading desk in Kuala Lumpur, which lets us capture value when prices move.
LNG will remain a core part of Asia's energy mix as economies shift away from coal. We are studying debottlenecking options at Tanjung Api that would add capacity without a new train.

Strategy
Our priorities
Run reliably
Planned maintenance on one train at a time, so the plant never stops loading.
Keep the portfolio balanced
Long-term contracts for most volumes, with a flexible share for the spot market.
Debottleneck before building
